Bartlesville’s Family Healthcare Clinic will host its annual “A Taste of Chocolate” fundraising event from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Friday, February 10th at the Hillcrest Country Club. The Valentine’s weekend event of dining, dancing and deliciously decadent chocolates supports the “Access to Care” medical program for uninsured and underserved patients in the Bartlesville community.
According to the Community Service Council in Tulsa, Oklahoma is number 46 among states in terms of health. As a state we face challenges such as limited availability of primary care physicians. Family Healthcare Clinic is helping bridge that gap by providing services to those who need it most. 18% of our state’s population is without health insurance. Family Healthcare Clinic doesn’t require patients to carry health insurance and is able to provide high quality and easily accessible medical care to uninsured patients.
In order to provide these services Family Healthcare Clinic organizes special events for Bartlesville residents to enjoy and make contributions to lend a helping hand to our mission. The “A Taste of Chocolate” has become a premier Valentine’s Day event that raises the funds needed for our “Access to Care” program.
